Instructional League (I-League)

For those who have never played or have been away from the ice for an extended time, we offer an I-league that begins with 6 weeks of basic instruction followed by 10 weeks of games.

For those who have never played or have been away from the ice for an extended time Instructional league is a great place to get started with Hockey. Adults 20 years old or older with little to no hockey experience, or those looking to get back in the game after a long time. Every season offers skills practices and game options. Our goal is to get you confident enough to move up to a team in the KAHL (Oaks Center Ice men’s league).

Not recommended for players with recent youth or college playing experience. Truly for those looking to get into the game as an adult.

Skills Highlights:

• 6 hours of ice time
  • Practices always on Monday nights
• Cost $110 (Includes practice jersey if needed)
• Must be 20 years old or older
• Full equipment required
  • Cage on helmet highly recommended
• Focused practices to work on fundamentals of the game
  • Skating, Shooting, Passing etc.
• Small area games and drills designed to mimic game like situations
• Approachable coaching staff with various years of experience
  • Ability to talk with coaches to customize the practices to meet common needs

Games Highlights:

• 10 Game seasons (Including Playoffs)
  • 3 (15) minute periods
  • 2 Officials per game
  • Live stats with Sport Ninja
  • Monday night games
    • Rink holds the right to change if needed
  • Cost $320
    • Covers ice and ref fees
    • Team Jersey included
  • 2 Divisions
    • Division specific Playoffs
    • Individual and team awards
  • Must be 20 years old or older
  • Players playing in house on C3/ C4 teams are allowed on a case by case basis
  • Full equipment required
    • Cage on helmet highly recommended

2026 Winter Program Schedule:

• 6 Weeks of Instruction on Monday Nights 1/5/26 through 2/9/26
  • Registration opens 12/1/25 through 1/1/26 while spots remain.
• 10 Weeks of Games on Monday Nights 2/16 /26 through 4/20/26
  • Registration opens 12/1/25 through 2/2/26 while spots remain.

2026 Spring / Summer Program Schedule:

• 6 Weeks of Instruction on Monday Nights 4/27/26 through 6/8/26
  • Registration opens 3/20/26 through 4/20/26 while spots remain.
• 10 Weeks of Games on Monday Nights 6/15/26 through 8/17/26
  • Registration opens 3/20/26 through 6/1/26 while spots remain.

2026 Fall Program Schedule:

• 6 Weeks of Instruction on Monday Nights 8/24/26 through 10/5/26
  • Registration opens 7/20/26 through 8/20/26 while spots remain.
• 10 Weeks of Games on Monday Nights 10/12/26 through 12/14/26
  • Registration opens 7/20/26 through 9/28/26 while spots remain.
